If you’re starting to think about what to pack in your hospital bag, then that much awaited moment of meeting your babe for the first time is drawing closer. Although we know that some pack at 13 weeks and others at 39, we recommend to have everything neatly in order and ready to go by 35 weeks.
As we specialise in all things Mama, we have developed a checklist for you of items to pack in your hospital bag to ensure maximum comfort for you and your babe.
Let’s face it – you are the main event here so you want to have all your special things to make sure you are comfortable in every sense.
Toiletries
☐ Toothbrush and toothpaste
☐ Body wash
☐ Shampoo and conditioner
☐ Deodorant
☐ Lip balm
☐ Facial and body moisturiser
☐ Hairbrush and hair ties
☐ Prescription glasses or contact lenses
☐ Maternity pads (preferably made from organic cotton so they are hypoallergenic and breathable)

☐ Nipple balm (to avoid cracked nipples in those early days)
Clothes
We recommend comfort above all else and natural fibres such as bamboo for those final moments of pregnancy and for your baby’s delicate newborn skin.
☐ Pyjamas
☐ Leggings/Tracksuit pants
☐ 2 x Nursing-friendly bras (if you choose to breastfeed)
☐ 2 x Nursing-friendly tops (nursing cami or tank tops)
☐ 4 x super comfy undies (especially to be suitable if you have a c-section so as not to rub on the wound)
☐ Jumper or cardigan
☐ Slippers/slip-on shoes
☐ 2 x bed socks (as hospital air-conditioning can be chilly)
☐ Outfit to travel home
Whether you are in labour for an hour or a day, you want to be comfy from head to toe. Here are the pieces we recommend to navigate this super special time in your life. All our items are made in Portugal from high quality bamboo and are perfectly soft against your’s and baby’s skin:
